DOCUMENT is a printing and exhibition space located in Chicago’s west-loop with a focus on contemporary photography and video based works. Our presentation at EXPO Chicago will focus on edition-based works by artists who have exhibited in our exhibition space. DOCUMENT will present artists whose works focus on collage as a departure point to explore various fragmented and re-examined images. These images are often explored through the integration of skewed or untraditional support systems, complicating their visual window. The works sculptural forms reinforce and are derived from this working process servicing the content.
